contribution n. (1)分摊(额)；分担(额) 指负有责任的几人中任一人应当承担的份额。它通常发生于以下几种情形：１在共同侵权人〔joint tort-feasors〕之间，每一行为人均应分担因侵权行为而给他人造成的损害。在美国，一部分州已采纳了《统一侵权人责任分担法》〔Uniform Contribution Among Tortfeasors Act〕；２在共同保险〔coinsurance〕中，每一保险人根据共同保险条款而与其他保险人对同一损失承担赔偿责任，如其承担全部赔偿责任或超过其应承担的赔偿份额的，则有权向其他保险人求偿；３在海商法上，如果发生共同海损〔general average〕，而损失已由一个当事人承担，则所有有关利益的当事人应当根据其在获救财产中的比例分摊该项损失。 (2)财产分配一指破产案件中的债权人之间按照其各自的债权比例而对债务人的财产进行分割；一指继承人之间对遗产及债务根据其应承担的比例分割。 (3)(社会保险基金中应强制缴纳的)保险金 (4)捐献；出资(额) (5)占领军税 指占领军向被占领地居民征收的一种税金。亦作「war contribution」。
