call of the House call of the house, 下议院召集会议通知书 call of the House 〈英〉下议院召集会议通知书 指下议院因特别事由而认为有召集会议之必要时，向各位议员送发的强制性地要求其参加会议的通知书。得到通知的议员，不出席将被列入缺席者〔defaulter〕名单，并通知这些议员他日出席，如果仍无故缺席，可能受到守卫官〔Serjeant-at-Arms〕的拘押。不过自1836年起没有再使用过这种通知书，现在它已为院内秘书〔Whips〕确保议员出席会议的权力所替代。
