Jones Act vessel

A vessel whose crew members can qualify as seamen under the Jones Act; esp., a craft designed or used for transporting cargo or people on navigable waters, or that was being used for navigation at the time of a worker’s injury. See JONES ACT. [Cases: Shipping 1. C.J.S. Shipping § 4.]
