jobber, n.

1. One who buys from a manufacturer and sells to a retailer; a wholesaler or middleman. [Cases: Sales 384(1). C.J.S. Sales §§ 363, 365–366.]

2. A middleman in the exchange of securities among brokers. — Also termed stockjobber; stock-jobber.

3. One who works by the job; a contractor. — job, vb.
