Meditating flight; contemplating leaving the country. • Formerly, a debtor could be detained under a fugae warrant if the debtor had sufficient debt to warrant imprisonment, and if the debtor was attempting to leave the country. This type of warrant became obsolete when imprisonment for debt was abolished.
