Commodity Credit Corporation. A federally chartered corporation responsible for extending credit in order to stabilize farm income and prices. • Incorporated in Delaware in 1933 and operated in affiliation with the Reconstruction Finance Corporation, it was transferred to the U.S. Department of Agriculture in 1939 and chartered in 1948 as a federal corporation. 15 USCA § 714. — Abbr.
