domicellus (dom-[schwa]-sel-[schwa]s), n. [Law Latin] Hist.

1. A king’s natural son in France.

2. A young lord.

“Domicellus, Is an old obsolete … Word, anciently given as an Appellation or Addition to the King’s natural Sons in France, and sometimes to the eldest Sons of Noblemen there; from whence we borrowed these Additions: As several natural Children of John of Gaunt, Duke of Lancaster, are stiled Domicelli by the Charter of Legitimation….
