amoveas manus (ay-moh-vee-[schwa]s man-[schwa]s). [Law Latin “that you remove your hands”] Hist.

1. A judgment ordering the Crown to relinquish possession of land to the complainant. • The judgment is so called from the emphatic words quod manus domini regis amoveantur (“that the hands of the king be removed”).
