apocha (ap-[schwa]-k[schwa]).Roman & civil law. A receipt acknowledging payment. • An apocha discharges only the obligation represented by the payment, in contrast to an acceptilation, which discharges an entire debt. — Also spelled apoca. Cf. ACCEPTILATION; ANTAPOCHA.
