The division of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security responsible for maintaining the safety of the nation’s borders and transportation systems. • The Directorate includes the Transportation Security Administration, the U.S. Customs Service, the border security functions of the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service, the Animal & Plant Health Inspection Service, and the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center.
