1. Torts. A person who is invited or permitted to enter or remain on another’s land for a purpose directly or indirectly connected with the landowner’s or possessor’s business dealings. — Also termed business invitee; business guest. See INVITEE.

2. Immigration law. A non-U.S. citizen who has a B–1 visa, which allows the person to be employed while in the United States.
