common thief common thief, 惯窃犯 common thief 惯窃犯 指偷盗已成习性的犯罪分子。曾经一次或多次被判犯有偷盗罪〔larceny〕的犯罪分子，法院可宣告其为惯窃犯。对惯窃犯判处的刑罚一般要重于对盗窃犯的处罚。有时也称之为劣迹昭彰的惯窃犯〔common and notorious thief〕。
