correction, n.

1. Generally, the act or an instance of making right what is wrong (mark your corrections in red ink).

2. A change in business activity or market price following and counteracting an increase or decrease in the activity or price (the broker advised investors to sell before the inevitable stock-market correction). See DOWN REVERSAL.
