de me (dee mee). [Latin] Of me. • This phrase appeared in feudal grants to confirm that a superior lord’s permission was not needed for the conveyance. This was distinguished from a conveyance a me de superiore meo (“from me of my superior”), in which the estate was to be held of the superior, and was invalid unless confirmed by the superior. Cf.
