forisfacere (for-is-fay-s[schwa]-ree), vb. [fr. Latin foris “without” + facere “to make”] Hist.

1. To forfeit (an estate or other property). • Literally, this means to make the property foreign to oneself.

2. To violate the law; to do a thing against or without the law.
