front

front, n.

1. The side or part of a building or lot that is open to view, that is the principal entrance, or that faces out to the open (as to a lake or ocean); the foremost part of something (the property’s front was its most valuable attribute).

2. A person or group that serves to conceal the true identity or activity of the person or group in control (the political party was a front for the terrorist group).

3. A political association similar to a party (popular front).
