guaranty of payment 付款保证 它不以债权人在起诉人之前须先行对债务人用尽法律救济手段为条件。作出付款保证的人是保证人，即付款保证人。根据美国《统一商法典》〔U.C.C.〕的规定，在票据上签名并注明「保证付款」或类似字样的保证人，在票据到期未获付款时，应按照票面付款，持票人毋需先向其他人请求付款。
