jus tripertitum (j[schwa]s trI-p[schwa]r-tI-t[schwa]m). [Latin “law in three parts”] Roman law. The law of wills in the time of Justinian, deriving from the praetorian edicts, from the civil law, and from the imperial constitutions. See testamentum tripertitum under TESTAMENTUM.
