knock off, vb.

1. To make an unauthorized copy of (another’s product), usu. for sale at a substantially lower price than the original (the infringer knocked off popular dress designs).

2. Slang. To murder (the gang leader was knocked off by one of his lieutenants).

3. Slang. To rob or burglarize (the thieves knocked off the jewelry store in broad daylight).
