Multiethnic Placement Act of 1994. A model statute intended to (1) decrease the length of time that a child awaits adoption, (2) identify and recruit adoptive and foster parents who can meet the needs of available children, and (3) eliminate adoption discrimination based on race, color, or national origin of the child or the adoptive parents. — Abbr.
