offensive

offensive ([schwa]-fen-siv), adj.

1. Of or for attack (an offensive weapon).

2. Unpleasant or disagreeable to the senses; obnoxious (an offensive odor).

3. Causing displeasure, anger, or resentment; esp., repugnant to the prevailing sense of what is decent or moral (patently offensive language and photographs). See OBSCENE.
