Hardwicke’s (Lord) Act 〈英〉《哈德威克(勋爵)法》 1753年的一部法律,禁止秘密结婚。该法规定,无结婚公告或证书者,结婚仪式将被宣告无效,结婚仪式必须在堂区教堂或公共小教堂举行,并公布结婚公告,否则婚姻无效,除非坎特伯雷大主教已为其在其他地方举行的婚礼颁发了特许证。该法律使不从国教者和罗马天主教徒按照他们自己的仪式举行的婚姻无效,而只认可英格兰国教会的婚姻,这种情况持续到1837年。
