seign(i)ory

seign(i)ory n. 依不同标准领主权可作如下划分:效忠领主权〔seignory by fealty〕和封建租役领主权〔seignory by rent service〕;最高领主权〔seignory paramount〕和中间领主权〔mesne seignory〕;附属于庄园的领主权和单纯领主权〔seignory in gross〕。 (→seigniory in gross; subinfeudation; rent service; mesne)
