procuring agent

A person who obtains drugs on behalf of another person and delivers the drugs to that person.

• In criminal-defense theory, the procuring agent does not sell, barter, exchange, or make a gift of the drugs to the other person because the drugs already belong to that person, who merely employs the agent to pick up and deliver them.
