scilicet (sil-[schwa]-set or -sit). [fr. Latin scire licet “that you may know”] That is to say; namely; VIDELICET. • Like videlicet, this word is used in pleadings and other instruments to introduce a more particular statement of matters previously mentioned in general terms.
