要求陪审团审判

go to the country 要求陪审团审判 在1852年《普通法诉讼程序法》〔Common Law Procedure Act〕之前，当被告人以「and of this he puts himself upon the country」的用语结束其答辩时，他便被称为「go to the country」，即要求陪审团审判。与之对应的原告要求的形式为「And this the plaintiff prays may be enquired of by the country.」。
