Black Act

Black Act (英格兰古法)《黑匪法》 1722-1723年通过的一项法令,因其用以镇压在埃塞克斯郡沃尔瑟姆〔Waltham〕(今埃平〔Epping〕)森林附近出没的面部涂黑的匪徒而得名。这伙匪徒将面部涂黑或在其它形式的伪装下,猎杀森林里的鹿,抢劫养兔场、渔塘和盗伐林木,并进行其它犯罪活动。该法将这些罪行定为重罪,教士对该项罪名亦不享有豁免权,并规定了对受损财产的所有人的赔偿金数额。该法于1827年废止。(→Waltham Blacks)
