cover v. 给…保险；投保(→binder; cover note) n.购买替代物权 在卖方违约后，买方有权购买替代物，即善意、及时地从公开市场上购买本应由卖方提供的货物作为替代。依照美国《统一商法典》〔U.C.C.〕第2-712条的规定，此时买方有权从卖方处获得损害赔偿，其数额为购买替代物的开支与原定合同价格的差额，并加上附加损失或间接损失，但应减去因卖方违约而使买方节省的支出。
