donatio propter nuptias 〈拉〉(罗马法)婚娶赠与;聘礼 原称婚前赠与〔donatio ante nuptias〕。指新郎或以新郎名义于婚前赠给新娘的礼物,其目的在于平衡夫妻财产关系,以弥补无夫权婚姻中妻子赠给丈夫嫁奁而对丈夫却无继承权的不公平状态,同时也起补助家庭开支的作用。优士丁尼规定此项赠与即使在婚后设定,也生效力。所以便把「婚前赠与」改称「婚娶赠与」,使其名实相符。
