eyre n. 巡回；巡回法庭 由巡回法官〔justice itinerant或justice in eyre〕组成的巡回法庭在1176年的北安普顿议会〔Parliament of Northampton〕上指派，得到王室法庭〔Aula Regia〕授权，他们每七年一次巡回听审案件。根据《大宪章》〔Magna Carta〕的规定，巡回法官每年被派往各个郡听审案件。巡回陪审〔assize〕兴起后，随着主持巡回陪审的法官的权力扩大，早期的这些巡回法官逐渐消失了。在王室狩猎场，根据古老的习惯，每三年派出巡回法官处理有关王室狩猎场的案件。 (=eire) (→assize)
