stale check 过期支票 记载的出票日期远远早于实际提示日期或议付日期的支票，即长期未兑现的支票。根据美国《统一商法典》〔U.C.C.〕第4-404条，除保付支票〔certified check〕外，任何在出票六个月以后提示的支票均属过期支票。
