words of purchase 指定性用语 指定将来取得地产人的用语。如在「地产由甲终身享用且剩余地产权〔remainder〕由其继承人享有」一语中，「继承人」并非用以表示权利的存续期间而是用以指定取得剩余地产权的人。限制性用语〔words of limitation〕和指定性用语因此是相对立的，但也有词语一部分作为限制性用语、一部分作为指定性用语的情况。
