tradesman

tradesman (traydz-m[schwa]n), n.

1. One who buys and sells things for profit; esp., a shopkeeper.

2. A shopkeeper’s employee.

3. A mechanic or artisan whose livelihood depends on manual labor; one who is skilled in a trade. — Also termed tradesperson.
