feoffee to uses 用益受封人 指为第三人用益而受让并持有土地的人，该第三人称为「保有地受益人」〔cestui que use〕，用益土地受封人与信托中的受托人地位一致，他负有类似于罗马法的信任义务。在1535年《用益法》〔Statute of Uses〕生效前，该受封人被赋予法律上的占有权。1535年《用益法》规定保有地的占有权由受封人转移给受益人。1925年《财产法》〔Law of Property Act〕废止了1535年《用益法》，规定法定所有权只授予受让(封)人，受益所有人只是单纯「信托受益人」〔cestui que trust〕。
