要求陪审团审判 在1852年《普通法诉讼程序法》〔Common Law Procedure Act〕之前，当被告人以「and of this he puts himself upon the country」的用语结束其答辩时，他便被称为「go to the country」，即要求陪审团审判。与之对应的原告要求的形式为「And this the plaintiff prays may be enquired of by the country.」。
