exigi facias (ek-s[schwa]-jIfay-shee-[schwa]s). [Latin] That you cause to be demanded. • These were the emphatic words of the Latin form of the writ of exigent; the phrase was sometimes used as the name of the writ. See EXIGENT.

Black Book of the Tower 〈英〉《伦敦塔黑皮书》 也称《议会记事录》〔Liber Irrotulamentorum de Parliamentis〕或《旧法典》〔Vetus Codex〕。书中包括了爱德华一世和爱德华二世〔Edward Ⅰ and Ⅱ〕时期《议会档案》〔Rolls of Parliament〕的节录。在16和17世纪时被作为处理宪法性争议的根据。1661年曾与其它资料一起以《议会程序》〔Placita Parliamentaria〕为名印刷出版。该书存于公共档案馆〔Public Record Office〕。

boardinghouse n. 供膳寄宿处 在英国，指允许一人，通常是多人临时寄宿的地方。主人要向寄宿者提供膳食、床铺及其他共用设施，寄宿者支付约定的费用。它与旅店〔inn〕的不同之处在于，寄宿处主人并无义务接待任何人，不管他是不是旅行者；他也不像旅店主那样对丢失财产承担严格责任，亦无权因寄宿者到期未付费而留置其财产。在美国，寄宿处主人不对丢失财产负责任，但享有法定留置权。(→boardinghouse keeper’s lien)
