bankruptcy fraud

A fraudulent act connected to a bankruptcy case; esp., any of several proscribed acts performed knowingly and fraudulently in a bankruptcy case, such as concealing assets or destroying, withholding, or falsifying documents in an effort to defeat bankruptcy-code provisions.
