A writ of arrest or other warrant concerning debts owed, issued on one side of a national border for execution on the other side; esp., such a warrant issued on either side of the border between England and Scotland.

border warrant (1)〈美〉边境搜查令 为在边境地区实施搜查和逮捕非法入境移民而签发的令状。进行预先拦截、询问则无需签发令状。 (2)〈英〉边境捕获令 位于英格兰和苏格兰边境任一方的地方法官〔magistrate〕，为逮捕或扣押位于边境另一方的人或其财产而签发的令状。根据法律，边境各郡中任一郡的警察〔constable〕都可在其他郡执行此种令状进行逮捕或追回被窃财物。
