call to the bar 〈英〉授予出庭律师资格 英格兰四大律师公会〔Inns of Court〕对本公会中通过法律教育委员会〔Council of Legal Education〕组织的考试，并符合其他规定的条件的学生授予其出庭律师资格而举行的一种仪式。这种仪式每年举行几次，且各个公会不尽相同。但是学生经过这种仪式取得的仅是外席律师〔Outer Bar〕资格。在出庭律师被授予皇家大律师〔Queen’s Counsel〕时，一般称为「called within the Bar」。
