concealment n. 隐瞒；隐藏 指某人有义务将了解的某事告知他人，却加以隐瞒未告知，如在破产或离婚诉讼中隐瞒财产状况、投保申请时隐瞒健康状况等。有时隐瞒等同于欺诈。有隐瞒情况的合同是否有效由受欺诈方决定。隐瞒也可能构成刑事犯罪，如财产的出让方或抵押人隐瞒重要产权情况或该财产上已设定债权或抵押等事实，在英国就视为轻罪，应依法判处二年监禁。 (→active concealment; fraudulent concealment)
