end lines 端线 在采矿法中，一块被要求的矿区土地的端线，是指标明其短边的界限，且穿过矿脉的线。而边线〔side lines〕则是指标明其长边的界限，且沿着矿脉方向伸展的线。但对于可以超越矿界开采权〔extralateral rights〕的情况来说，如果其有权开采的矿区土地作为一个整体穿过矿脉，而非沿着矿脉的方向伸展，则其端线就变成了边线，而边线则成了端线。
