executive order
executive order 〈美〉行政命令 指总统或其属下的行政机构为解释、补充宪法、法律、条约的规定，或使宪法、法律或条约的某一规定得以施行而发布的命令或规则。该命令只有在《联邦政府公报》〔Federal Register〕上公布，才产生法律效力。
