family court 〈美〉家事法院 只有几个州设有此法院，其管辖范围在各州也有所不同，一般包括：虐待儿童及疏于或拒绝抚养儿童案件、扶养案件、确定生父及非婚生子女的抚养案件、因长期拒绝抚养儿童而终止监护权的案件、少年犯罪案件、家庭犯罪案件。具有一般管辖权〔general jurisdiction〕的法院也可以设立家事法庭。
