first fruits (1)(封建法)土地初继承捐 封建土地保有权的附带义务，在直接自国王处受封的〔in chief〕封臣死后，其继承人应向国王缴纳一年的土地收益才能够继承地产。(=primer seisin) (2) 〈英〉(教会法)初年圣俸 指神职人员〔clergyman〕上任后第一年的圣俸〔benefice〕。后来教会依据土地初继承捐提出对初年圣俸的要求，规定初年圣俸由领圣俸者〔incumbent〕献给教皇〔pope〕，1534年亨利八世规定初年圣俸应献给国王，1703年安妮女王又规定将其交给「安妮女王基金会」〔Queen Anne’s Bounty〕，用以增加贫困牧师的职俸。(=annates; primitae)(→Queen Anne’s Bounty; receiver; tenths)
