hostile witness
hostile witness 敌意证人 指在主询问中对传唤其的本方当事人表现出敌意或偏见、或不愿意作证、或已提供对本方当事人不利证据的证人。在英国，本方当事人经法庭许可可以对敌意证人进行反询问，并可提出证人先前所作的不一致的陈述。在美国，对敌意证人在主询问中可以提诱导性问题。
