ignoramus 〈拉〉 (1)不知情的人 (2)不知道；(大陪审团)不批准(公诉书) 从前，大陪审团在听取案件证据后，认为对犯罪嫌疑人的指控缺乏根据时，即将该词签于公诉书〔bill of indictment〕上，意指指控事实也许是真实的，但他们不知道。现在，在这种情况下，大陪审团则在公诉书上签上英语：「No bill」，「Not a true bill」或「Not found」，但仍称此为「不批准」公诉书〔ignore the bill〕。
