A bar association in which membership is a statutory requirement for practicing law; a usu. statewide organization of lawyers in which membership is compulsory in order for a lawyer to have a law license. — Also termed unified bar.

integrated bar 〈美〉统一律师协会 通常由州最高法院依职权按照法院规则或依制定法的授权而成立的律师组织，其成员包括全州范围内的执业律师，取得该协会的成员资格是准予作为律师执业的前提条件，因而是强制性的，其成员不能自由选择退出该协会。也称作unified bar,区别于voluntary bar。
