liquidator n. 清算人;清算事务管理人 指被任命负责解散公司的清算事务的人,其职责为确定公司的债权债务、管理、变卖公司资产、清偿债务、分配剩余资产等。在强制性停业清理〔compulsory winding up〕或强制清算〔compulsory liquidation〕中,由法院指定清算人;而在自愿停业清理〔voluntary winding up〕或自愿清算〔voluntary liquidation〕中,由公司自己任命清算人。两者的主要区别是前者处理重要事务时,须征得法院的许可。在英国和加拿大,亦称作清算管理人〔receiver〕。 (→receiver;winding up)
