nomen 〈拉〉名字;名称 准确地说,古罗马表示人名的nomen是指该人所在民族的名称,在整个人名中它是第二个名称,它位于该人自己个人的名字〔proenomen〕之后,而位于家庭的名称——即姓〔cognomen〕之前。如Gaius Julius Caesar中,Gaius是个人自己的名称,Julius是nomen, Caesar是家族的名称。尚有附加于其后描述性的附加名,叫做agnomen。
