nonfeasance n. 未履行责任；失职 指一个人无正当理由而根本没有履行法律规定的职责或合同规定的义务，不论其是否出于故意、疏忽、无知或其他主观状态。常用于指政府官员怠于履行职责，或代理人或僱员疏于履行其根据代理或僱佣合同对被代理人或僱主承担的义务。该词与「misfeasance」及「malfeasance」两词的区别在于：misfeasance指以不适当的方式履行职责或义务，而malfeasance指一个人做出其根本不应做的行为，即不法行为。 (→misfeasance; malfeasance)
